Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Founded in 1910 as the Regina Rugby Club, the Saskatchewan Roughriders have won four Grey Cup championships, with their most recent victory occurring in 2013. We have home and away Roughriders jerseys, with both examples hailing from the early-1980s. A matched number set, Rawlings labels are affixed to each, with “L” sizing on the solid white example, “XL” on the green jersey. Both featuring heat-pressed “28” vinyl numerals over the front, verso and shoulders, the lower striping bands over the sleeves have been executed in matching material, with embroidered team patches over each upper sleeve. The green example has also been hemmed-up at the waist. Being sold simply as game jerseys, each does exhibit wear, with neither appearing to have had a former nameplate. We should note that Andre Jones wore #28 for Saskatchewan in early-1980s, 1981-83.
