Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
The first "giant" Parkhurst hockey issue featured these popular larger-than-the-two-previous-years cards, with this ensemble plagued by condition issues to the key stars. Three grading companies are represented among five slabbed cards, with 7-Kennedy and 74-Wilson at EX-MT 6 and 56- Bathgate RC at VG 3 among PSA entries. A multi-creased Gump Worsley RC received a generous VG 3 mark from KSA, while Beckett labelled 100-Quackenbush VG+ 3.5. Condition among the rest is led by a dozen VG-EX examples, (31-Lach, 96-Dumart), with (32) at VG and (23) in the G-G+ range, the latter group including 12-Horton, 28-Moore, 29-Geoffrion, 37-Arbour, 38-Dineen, 52-Lindsay and 57-Howell RC. Beliveau RC (tape stains, back damage) is P, similar to tape-stained, multi-creased cards of Howe, Richard and 30-Lach-Richard. Multi-creased and P-F are Sawchuk and 1-Lumley. Major flaws and/or trimming affects 22 others (26-Harvey), with a Parkies album present but rough and low grade with cover tears.
