Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2006-07 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
A product of Michigan State, defenceman Mike Weaver appeared for a number of NHL clubs during his career, also winning a Calder Cup with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. This Canadiens jersey was worn in 2014-15 by the Ontario native. Size "56" tagging appears along the collar with handwritten “3”, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Weaver” across the nameplate in single blue twill along with the Beliveau “4” crest over the right breast. Game-wear includes just a few faint marks over each sleeve. The team patch numbered “A03659” sits on the inside hem, while a hologram affixed to the reverse number “3” matches the accompanying LOA from the Canadiens.
