Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
This historically significant Montreal Forum seat was removed from the famous arena after the final game was played there on March 11 1996, with this free-standing red example outfitted to celebrate Habs legend Howie Morenz, with white letter decals added, with his career statistics also listed. The original number “7” remains stenciled in white on the seatback near a CH decal, with each side section with added Habs full colour logos (with 1924-1996) modern castings. The seat remains tear-free with moderate wear, with some edge chipping to the red finish on the seat back. Also included, we have a section of the Vancouver Sun (12” x 17” folded) from March 9th 1937, proclaiming the death of Morenz, with expected toning and a small stain.
