Carey Price stepped up and delivered in 2010-11, his fourth season for the Montreal Canadiens, when he went 38-28-6 in 72 games with eight shutouts, a 2.35 goals-against-average and a .923 save percentage. Price’s Habs Vaughn trapper and blocker game-worn gloves are each from the 2010-11 season, though they are not a matched set. The Vaughn Velocity 7700 game-used blocker with “Carey Price” embroidered in dark blue thread on the cuff protector is photo-matched to the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs and to Carey’s 2011-12 Score hockey card by a number of black marks. Price’s Vaughn Epic trapper has “Carey Price Game” embroidered in dark blue thread on the thumb-side cuff protector.
There is nice wear to the blocker glove’s palm, which is covered with red bleeding throughout, and red paint transfer on the edges of the trapper glove’s pocket.
Included are an original purchase receipt from the Canadiens boutique, and a copy of another receipt.
Photo matches for the blocker include Price’s 2011-12 Score hockey card to a number of marks, as well as various black marks that appear in 2011 playoff pictures: Getty Images #112276632 and #125759310 from April 16, 2011, Getty Images #112554052 from April 18, 2011, Getty Images #113124368 from April 23, 2011, to a number of black marks, and Getty Images #113207383 from April 26, 2011.
