This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Originally presented to Nic Coen a former locker room attendant, we have a 2014 Stanley Cup championship Tiffany & Co Silver and diamond ring. Size 10 ½ with a weight of approx. 40 grams, “LA” in raised letters set in black epoxy with 31 round brilliant cut diamonds sits above an embossed crown with a shield and cross bar set with 61 round brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately .72 carat total weight, G-J colour range with internally flawless-SI1 clarity range. “Stanley Cup Champions” appears incised along the top and bottom bezel, while the left shank features “Coen” and “LA Kings” in raised letters, the right, “2014” above along with an embossed image of the Stanley Cup with two round faceted black spinels weighing approximately .06 carat total weight. A Classic Auctions LOA will accompany, along with additional Tiffany documents.
The interior band has "Tiffany & Co AG925" engraved (AG 925 is sterling silver, which is by definition 92.5% silver), with the results of four games listed. Wear is present along the outside band, with some rubbing to the finish, with some minor discolouration within the recessed areas along the shanks. There is also minimal scratching to the black epoxy, with additional light wear beneath the bezel and along edges. An attractive display box from Tiffany & Co will accompany, with just very light wear exhibited.
Victors of long, drawn out seven games affairs in each of the first three series during the 2013-14 NHL playoffs, Los Angeles would then face the boys from Manhattan in the final, with New York handily defeated by the Kings in only five games. The Stanley Cup championship would be the second in three years for the Californians.
