Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

Second in NHL history with a 0.754 goals-per-game average for his career – a number even Wayne Gretzky would be jealous of, Mario Lemieux played in 17 NHL seasons, with each game spent in a Pittsburgh Penguins uniform. We have a vintage circa 1996-97 pro-style Pens Lemieux captain’s jersey, and it’s been signed by the iconic HOFer. Produced by Starter with labeling along the collar including “54-R” swatch, embroidered Starter and NHL crests also appear on the back bottom hem. Styled with a thick and textured Penguins team crest, the solid black V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Lemieux” across the nameplate. Mario has signed within the second reverse “6”, and the signature displays well.
