Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Going undrafted, winger Mark Kachowski spent the bulk of his career in the IHL, appearing for Pittsburgh in parts of just 3 NHL seasons. This well-worn Penguins Set 2 home jersey was donned by the Edmonton native during the 1989-90 regular season. Sewn down Maska Ultrafil tagging appears along the collar, with a CCM crest on the back bottom hem. Styled with an attractive and embroidered Pens team crest, the solid white v-neck has been accented with double-twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the important 1990 NHL All-Star game patch residing over the left shoulder. The fight strap has been customized, with a bar code from Sports Registry affixed nearby.
Game-wear on the vintage sweater includes board burns over each sleeve, along with random marks on the front and reverse, with almost a dozen team repairs present. 6 are visible over the right sleeve, with another 5 examples over the left.
