Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
An eight-time Gold Glove Award winner, Bill Mazeroski is best remembered for his walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series. We have a Pirates replica jersey modeled after the examples worn in 1960 that has been signed by the 2001 inductee, along with a signed bat. Manufactured by Mitchell & Ness with labeling along the collar, the sleeveless button-up features “Pirates” arching across the chest, with “9” on verso in matching material. Mazeroski has signed just above the reverse number in black marker, and the signature displays well, with no issues for the jersey. The bat is a Rawlings Big Stick just over 34” long, with “Bill Mazeroski” and “Professional Model” across the barrel. Bill has signed between the center brand and stamped signature in black marker adding “HOF 01”, with absolutely no issues for either the bat or signature. A COA for the signed bat will accompany.
