Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
The last player for the Quebec Nordiques still active in professional hockey prior to his retirement in 2015, Martin Rucinsky skated for a number of NHL clubs throughout his career, with the bulk of his time spent in Quebec with both the Canadiens and Nordiques. This Nords jersey was worn by the Czech winger during his rookie campaign of 1992-93, where he appeared in 77 games. Maska Ultrafil labeling is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the back bottom hem. Styled with an attractive Nordiques team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the solid blue V-neck has been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with white single twill fleur-de-lys gracing the lower band and shoulders. The important Stanley Cup centennial patch (in French) is also present, residing just above the right breast.
Game-wear includes a number of marks over the lower front band and sleeves, with board burns with small resulting holes present near each elbow section. There is also a large slit beneath the team crest, along with pilling near the intact fight strap.
