Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
A three-time Cy Young award winner, Pedro Martinez was instrumental in helping the Red Sox secure the long-awaited World Series championship in 2004, the Dominican is also the record holder for the lowest single-season WHIP in major league history with 0.737. We have a pair of signed items that according to our consignor, originate from the 2015 HOF induction ceremony. Included is an empty bottle of Dom Perignon 2004 vintage with the original presentation box, along with a Veuve Clicquot ice pail. The bottle was enjoyed by Martinez along with our consignor, with Pedro then placing an attractive signature across the label including his induction year. The ice pail also features a Martinez signature, with his wife signing as well, adding “HOF Wife”. The signatures display well, with general expected wear to the ice pail, while the accompanying 2-piece Dom Perignon box for the bottle has torn flaps on one side of the box lid. The detailed letter from our consignor will accompany.
