Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
With the second most consecutive 30+ goal seasons in history, Phil Esposito spent 18 glorious seasons in the NHL shared amongst Boston, Chicago and the Rangers. We have Phil’s late-1960s Chicago Black Hawks contract, and it’s been signed by Phil along with fellow HOFers Clarence Campbell, Tommy Ivan and William Wirtz. Drawn for the 1966-67 and 1967-68 seasons (Espo was traded to Boston in May of 1967), the contract called for Phil to earn $16,000 the first season and $17,000 the second, with a $1000 bonus for scoring over 30 goals in either season. Framed to full dimensions of 13 ½” x 22”, with both the front and reverse viewable, each of the signatures remain in wonderful condition, with what appears to be just light wear to the contract itself.
