Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Important early hockey stick collection brings together a pair of wooden wonders that are attributed to members of the Ottawa Senators. The two sticks were acquired decades ago along with vintage Ottawa Hockey Team photos and other Ottawa Hockey team pieces and are believed to be game-used sticks from Ottawa players of that era. One example has "Truro Lifter" handwritten in marker near the blade, along with "1904”, again handwritten, on both sides of the blade. It is toned and aged and sports four small mount holes along its length, with a crack and small area of loss at the mounting hole situated along the center of the blade. The remaining stick is a dark wood Mic Mac model, according to the blade graphics. At about 47 inches in length, it has been well-preserved with general wear.
