A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2002-03 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead, with this section of impressive jerseys offered online with the familiar Classic Auction bidding rules applying.
This Canadiens white road jersey with customized sleeves was worn by Tomas Plekanec during the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The veteran Czech center had four assists in Montreal’s five-game First Round Series loss to Ottawa after scoring 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points in 47 games during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 regular season. Plekanec’s playoff gamer has “3P” handwritten in black marker in the back of the neck, which has a size 58 flag tag. A black Velcro strip is sewn inside the cuff of each of the customized sleeves. There is a big black mark on the upper right front from the bottom of the collar curling down to the CH crest. There is another black mark below the crest on the right front tail, which has a few other faint marks, with more game wear showing in black marks on the right sleeve. The Canadiens 2012-13 Game-Worn Jersey patch sewn inside the rear tail displays No. A03096. The Canadiens hologram sticker applied to the bottom of the “4” on the back has registry No. GU11193, which corresponds to the team LOA that accompanies Plekanec’s 2013 playoff gamer.
