Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Two of the integral components to the famous Edmonton Oilers dynasty of the mid-1980s, we have a pair of sticks used by HOFers Glenn Anderson and Jari Kurri. The Anderson example has also been team-signed by the 1984-85 squad, with Kurri signing his stick as well. The Anderson is a Canadien model, with “G Anderson” stamped-on, with the stick retaining it’s tape over the knob. It features a custom-shaved handle, with “9” handwritten, with signatures present along the front side of the shaft including McTavish, Moog, Messier, Lowe, Semenko and others, with some examples smudged. The stick shows heavy use, with the blade tape removed at some point. The Kurri stick is a KOHO revolution model with “Kurri” factory graphics, along with the original tape over the blade and knob. The stick shows just light use, with Kurri signing over the heel section in black marker, adding “1996”.
