Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Multiple types of collectors may be interested in this downright interesting ensemble which stars several of the men who helped the Montreal Canadiens to four Stanley Cup championships in five years during the mid and late-1960s. Cut from cereal boxes back in the day, the 5" by 7" cardboard pictures are all tops on their respective lines of the PSA Population Report and in almost all instances are the only individual examples ever examined and encapsulated by PSA in the history of the company! Leading the way at EX 5 is leader extraordinaire Jean Beliveau, with the photo of fellow Hall of Famer Jacques Laperriere also meriting EX 5 recognition, the highest ever given to Chex Cereal Series 2 submissions. Population numbers inform of 52 total graded examples, with just six receiving marks of EX 5. At FR 1.5 is John Ferguson, while all the others are labelled "Authentic". Included are Ralph Backstrom, Dave Balon, Terry Harper, Charlie Hodge (Pop 2), Claude Provost, Henri Richard, Bobby Rousseau, Jean-Guy Talbot, Gilles Tremblay (hand-signed in bold black marker) and J.C. Tremblay. Fabulous images of Stanley Cup and PSA champions!
