Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Goalie Doug Soetaert’s 1983-84 Winnipeg Jets game-worn home jersey is a wonderful white mesh affair that conjures up fond memories of Dale Hawerchuk’s scoring exploits. Soetaert went 18-15-7 in his last of three seasons with the Jets before winning the Stanley Cup two years later with Montreal. The big rubberized CCM logo is screened on the right rear tail and a barely legible size “50” is handwritten in red ballpoint on the SK Sandow Sporting Knit flag tag in the neck. White leather fight strap remains attached to the canvas loop sewn inside. Game wear shows in light black marks on the front tail and light red stains on the back of the left sleeve, likely from goalpost paint transfer.
“Soetaert” is spelled out in embroidered blue thread letters on a solid white fabric nameplate.
