Rock solid on the blueline with longevity to boot, Fernie Flaman spent parts of 17 seasons in the NHL including a dozen in Beantown, and was selected for enshrinement in hockey’s house of holy in 1990. We have a rarely seen game-used stick from the Saskatchewan native, signed by three HOF legends, with Bill Barilko, Turk Broda and Harry Watson. Originating from the 1950-51 time-frame, the stick most likely was brought over from Boston with his “10” handwritten, with Flaman traded to the Leafs this season. A Northland Pro model with “Flaman” handwritten on the upper shaft, the stick retains its tape on the knob, with the blade tape removed at some point. The three HOFers have all signed the same side of the shaft in pencil, with the signatures a bit lighter but presenting well.
The stick itself shows nice use with wear to the blade and lower shaft, along with a few cracks that run through the length of the stick. Despite this damage which includes a very slight separation at the heel, the stick remains solid.
