Great collection of a dozen late-1960s NHL Art Ross Converse official game pucks features six from the 1967-68 expansion season with the patent number as well as six from 1968-69. The 1967-68 pucks feature five of the six expansion teams, including two Minnesota North Stars pucks along with California Seals, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues single pucks. These rubber crested beauties each display the Art Ross patent number 2226516 on the orange octagon reverse. North Stars, Flyers and Blues pucks are included along with Canadiens, Rangers and Maple Leafs in the six color rubber-crested pucks from 1968-69.
The 1967-68 pucks feature nicely-preserved Flyers and North Stars pucks, with the second North Stars puck displaying a bit of fading to its colors on the face. The Blues puck is nicely preserved with small round indentations on both the face and reverse that do not touch either crest. The Penguins puck has light crazing and some fading to its colors on the face and a bit of the rubberized reverse missing from the top left portion. The California Seals puck has rounded edges with small chips missing to the top edge, and wear to the rubberized crests, particularly on the reverse.
The 1968-69 pucks are generally nicely preserved with some wear to rubberized crest on the face of the North Stars puck.
