Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Held in historic Madison Square Gardens in front of over 18,000 enthusiastic fans, the 1994 NHL All-Star Game was the 45th time the event was held, with the typically high scoring affair finishing with a 9-8 victory for the Eastern Conference over the Western. This Eastern Conference jersey was worn in the contest by Alexander Mogilny, and it’s been signed. CCM and Center Ice labels along with a size 52 fly tag sit affixed to the collar, with NHL and CCM crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring a partially embroidered “Eastern” team crest, the sweater has been accented with double-twill numbers with the name on verso placed directly onto the nameplate. The 1994 NHL All-Star Game patches rests over each shoulder, with the remnants of a security hologram from UDA heat-pressed onto the inside hem. An LOA will accompany.
Mogilny has signed between the verso numbers in black marker and the signature displays well. Game-wear consists of faint marks on the lower front and over each sleeve, with heavier examples near the right cuff.
