Vintage mid-Sixties durene Leafs-style worn by leading goal scorer Jim McNulty while with the Charlotte Checkers of the fabled Eastern Hockey League. McNulty, led the team in points in 1964-65, also was their top goal getter the previous season. Jim's alternate captain's "A" rests up on the chest with CHARLOTTE arching across in individually-applied lettering just below the original neck lace. The "Faul & Crymes, Charlotte" supplier tag is still in the collar and the shirt shows nice game wear with some material runs, a few smaller holes and team repairs on both arms with more on the front. Another very large repair turns up on the back beside the single-layer tackle twill number "9". This style was worn in 1964-65 and is depicted in the team photo from that season. It also looks like the set was recycled and used later in the decade, perhaps as late as 1968-69. A perfect example from a league that is still studied and discussed in forums to this day!
