Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Originating from the heyday of the Montreal Canadiens late-1970s Stanley Cup dynasty, we have a game-used stick from one of the most integral components to their success, Ken Dryden. A Canadien model with their familiar rainbow striping accents, “K. Dryden” appears faded on the upper shaft, along with handwritten “29”. The stick retains its original and heavily marked white tape on the blade and knob, with black tape added on the lower paddle and heel of the blade to conceal a crack. With a ton of use exhibited, the stick remains in very good condition and is ideal for display. Along with four consecutive Stanley Cups during this era, Dryden was also awarded the Vezina for four consecutive seasons, from 1975-76 to 1978-79.
