Originating from Maple Leafs Gardens Hot Stove League, we have a chair from the venue along with a menu placard for the last game at MLG in 1999. The Hot Stove Club was modeled after the Hot Stove League, which originated at MLG and usually featured a panel of players, broadcasters and writers, to discuss the topics of the day regarding their beloved sport. The Hot Stove Club ran from 1963 until the closing of MLG in 1999. Reminiscent of a captain’s style chair, beautiful finished wood is featured, along with a leather-covered seat and back rest in Leafs’ blue. Solid with heavy wear present to the armrests and along the lower legs, a label affixed to the underside states that the chair was “Renovated” regarding the upholstery. An LOA will be included.
The included menu placard for the last game at MLG is roughly 8 ½” x 13”, and it lists the last special which includes roast beef or a 12 oz NY sirloin, with salad, baked potato, vegetables, dessert and coffee or tea, all for $35.00. As an added bonus, we also have a dozen 10” x 15” paper placemats from the HSC, and they remain in excellent condition.
