A true classic directly from one of the Broad Street Bullies, offered is bruising defenseman Jimmy Watson’s 1973-74 Philadelphia Flyers game-worn jersey photo-matched to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals! This awesome Flyers home jersey would have been worn by Watson, who was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame February 2016, during the regular season and on through the playoffs, including the Stanley Cup final against Bobby Orr and the Big, Bad Bruins. This historic Flyers gamer from Philadelphia’s first Cup win is photo-matched to a screen grab from a video of the Game 6 post game handshake. Game wear features good pilling on the inner sleeves and some pilling on other areas of the jersey, red paint transfer on the front of the upper right sleeve, and various black marks and reddish-brown stains on the front tail and upper portions of both sleeves. There are various team repairs to the white and black double-twill numbers on the back and on both sleeves. Comes with Jimmy Watson’s signed LOA.
The photo match from the screen grab shows the particular pattern of the sewing thread on the top of the "2" of the number 20 on the left sleeve. Size 50 and laundry instructions tagging remain in the back of the neck of this classic with its original garter-style fight strap. Some parts of the back numbers are partially detached and a vintage repair to the back numbers is visible from the inside of the jersey.
