The first time teams would be divided by nationality, the 1998 NHL All-Star Game took place in Vancouver at General Motors Place, with the North American squad pulling out a slim victory over the World Team, 8-7. Finish superstar Teemu Selanne would be selected as the contest’s MVP. This Team North America jersey was worn by forward Tony Amonte, and it’s been signed. With CCM and size tagging in the collar, there’s also additional CCM, NHL and NHLPA embroidered crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with a partially-embroidered NHL shield crest in black and silver, the garment has been accented with oversized triple-twill numbers, along with an American flag over the right breast. The right shoulder features the ’98 All-Star Game patch, while the left has a Black Hawks team crest. Amonte has signed at the top of the “2” on verso in black marker, and the signature displays well. An NHL inventory number of “ABC127” has been sewn directly onto the fight strap, and it denotes that this garment is one of 5 issued to Amonte for either the official photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or for use in one of the three periods. With no discernible wear present, the jersey remains in gorgeous condition. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
