Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
The current goaltending coach for the Los Angeles Kings, Bill Ranford spent parts of 15 seasons in the NHL, shared amongst a number of clubs including Edmonton, Washington and Boston. This Bruins alternate jersey was worn by the Brandon native in 1995-96, his first of two seasons in Beantown. A Maska Air-Knit label along with a size 56 fly tag remain affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring the alternate Bruins team crest in use for a decade throughout the late 1990s and early-2000s, the solid gold v-neck has been adorned with dual-colour twill numbers along with embroidered “Bruins” shoulder bars. The fight strap is also intact, with the original purchase receipt to accompany.
Game-wear on the alternate jersey includes just a few random marks on the lower front and over each sleeve. The rubberized team patch resides on the inside hem, and it denotes this garment as being a “1st Set” example.
