This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
From a Stanley Cup winning season where he was crowned as Playoff MVP, we have Yvan Cournoyer’s 241st career goal puck, from an October 1972 contest that witnessed the Canadiens blow out the Blues, 7-0. Mounted to an 8” x 11” silver steel plaque, the NHL logo sits above along with the puck’s particulars below. This was Yvan’s 5th, and the Habs 31st goal of the season. The puck itself features a Habs logo that exhibits cracking throughout along with heavy toning, while the plaque has some scratches present near the top and bottom sections. There is also some glue/tape residue along verso from a former mounting. Cournoyer would finish the 1971-72 season with an impressive 40 goals.
