Vintage hockey photography is always desirable, as it illustrates the evolution of the game. This lot contains four vintage framed team photos. 1) 1929 Melrose hockey team. Pictured in full team pose with an elegant trophy centralized, the text beneath reads “Champions of Suburban Ice League”. An imprint from the Melrose photographer sits along the bottom right, with the mounted photo framed to total dimensions of just under 10 ½” x 14 ½”. There is some wear to the mount, along with some blemishes/marks on the frame. 2) Circle Six Sports Club. A youth club pictured in a studio setting, “Junior Champions K.J.H.A., 1921-22” appears on the matte above, with all individuals listed below. Framed to full dimensions of 12 ¾” x 14 ¾”, the frame shows wear, with “Marrison Studio/Kingston Ont.” stamped into the mount along the bottom right. 3) L’A.C.J.C. hockey team. Hailing from Quebec, the team is pictured with executives in a formal studio setting, with “Equipe de Hockey de L’A.C.J.C./Saison 1935-36” above on the mount, with the players listed below. The studio in Riviere Du Loup Quebec is listed along the bottom right, and it’s been framed to full dimensions of roughly 13 ½” x 15 ½”. There is tape residue along a spot on the right side of the mount. 4) “LL” hockey team. With no name listed, the team is pictured in “LL” monogrammed sweaters, with “Lawson 20’s” handwritten along the mount in the bottom right corner. Framed to total dimensions of 13 ½” x 16 ½”, the frame shows heavy wear.
