Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
First vanquishing Chicago and then Detroit, the 1965 and ’66 Stanley Cup Championships would be the first and second of 4 Cup wins in 5 years for Montreal. The victorious Toronto Maple Leafs in 1967 eliminated the possibility of a second 5-Cup dynasty for the Bleu Blanc Rouge. This lot contains a pair of programs from the 1965 and ’66 Finals, along with an All-Star Game program from 1965-66. With each program at 8” x 11”, the 1965 Finals program hails from Game 2, where the Habs defeated the Black Hawks 2-0 with the series going the full seven games. The 1966 Finals program also originates from Game 2 with the Habs winning the series in six games. The 1965-66 All-Star Game was played in Montreal.
Each program remains in beautiful high-grade, with all pages intact. With just regular light handling wear, each book does exhibit toning to the covers along with the interior. There is also the odd indentation, or surface mark present.
