Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Drafted 5th overall by Pittsburgh in 1990, Jaromir Jagr has proven to be one of hockey’s all-time greats, with numerous accomplishments including being the youngest player in NHL history to score a goal in the Stanley Cup Finals. From the first of five Art Ross winning seasons, we have a Penguins jersey worn by Jagr in 1994-95, and it’s been video and photo-matched! CCM size tagging sits on the collar with handwritten “68”, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring the Penguins team crest used throughout the 1990s, the jersey also features dual-colour tackle twill numbers. The jersey is video-matched from the May 18th 1995 Conference Quarterfinals Game #7, to the big black mark on the top of the right breast. An LOA from Classic will accompany.
Jagr’s 1995-96 Upper Deck Hardware Heroes card has been photo-matched to the large black diagonal mark just above the "6" on the left sleeve. Heavily worn, a ton of great game-use is visible, with numerous puck and stick marks spread throughout literally every inch of the garment including on the upper and lower front, sleeves and verso. There are also board burns with small resulting holes over the right elbow, along with pilling to the interior just above the team crest.
