Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
From one of Mario Lemieux’s best seasons, where he was the recipient of the Art Ross, Hart and Lester B. Pearson Trophies, we have his game-used gloves and they’ve been photo-matched. 1995-96 witnessed a more than impressive showing for Mario, finishing with 161 points in 70 games. KOHO models in solid black, each has rubber identifiers over the back and wrist sections, with “Mario Lemieux” on each glove’s label. “66” along with “Art Ross” and “1995-96 Hart” are handwritten in each. 4 digital photos from the 1995-96 season have been matched to the black and reddish marks in the rubber KOHO logo, and to the black marks in the white bands on both sides. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
Nice game use is showing including marks and wear to the palms, with a hole over the right thumb. The gloves also exhibit repairs along the side seam and palm of each, and on the left glove’s thumb.
