Statistics… accolades… longevity. By any standard, Jaromir Jagr has to be considered one of the greatest modern players the game has seen. We have a few historic items from Jagr’s amazing career here for your consideration, with his 400th goal stick, along with his 400th goal NHLPA award. Jagr scored his 400th on November 13th 2000 against Patrick Roy and the Colorado Avalanche. That year saw Jagr win his fourth Art Ross Trophy, finishing his 11th NHL season with an impressive 121 points in 81 games. The stick is a KOHO model, while the award was made by the famous New York maker Tiffany & Co. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany these important Jagr items.
The composite KOHO stick has “Jagr” stamped on the upper shaft, with a second “Jagr” stamp on the top of the inserted blade. The stick retains its tape on the blade and handle/knob, with handwritten “2” on the upper shaft. A sticker has been added to the topside, with “400th Goal 11/13/00 vs Colorado”. Nice use is exhibited on the milestone gamer with wear to the blade, especially along the bottom, as well as abrasions and marks present on the lower shaft. At just under 7” in height when assembled, the NHLPA award features a dark rectangular base, with a circular glass top that balances when centralized over the base. “400 Goals” along with the NHLPA logo are reverse-etched into the glass, while the base has an affixed plaque that reads in full “Jaromir Jagr / November 13, 2000 / Pittsburgh (2) vs. Colorado (3) OT / Goal by Jaromir Jagr, assisted by Jan Hrdina, Kip Miller”. “Tiffany & Co.” appears on the underside of the glass, while the plaque also has "Tiffany & Co. Makers Sterling". The base shows some wear, especially along the bottom edges, with fairly heavy tarnishing to the plaque.
