Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
A World Series Most Valuable Player Award winner with the Yankees in 1996, John Wetteland is also the only pitcher in MLB history to record four saves in a single Fall Classic. This Expos jersey was worn by Wetteland in 1994, and it’s been signed. With size tagging from Russell Athletics sitting on the lower front, the jersey has been styled with tackle twill team crest, letters and numbers. The important MLB 125th anniversary patch is affixed to the right sleeve, with an additional Expos crest on the left. Just light game-use is exhibited, with a few marks along with staining on the lower front. Wetteland has added a gorgeous signature on the left side beneath the team crest, along with “Best Team in Baseball 1994”.
