Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
One of the NHL’s most prominent enforcers throughout the 1970s, Dave Schultz spent time with LA, Pittsburgh and Buffalo, but is best remembered as a member of Philadelphia’s Broad Street Bullies. This stick was used by Schultz in 1977-78, and it’s been team-signed. A KOHO model, “Schultz” appears on the upper shaft with handwritten “14”. The stick retains its original tape on the blade and handle/knob, with “LA Kings 77-78” on the blade in blue marker. 22 have signed the front-side of the shaft in pen, including Dionne, Goring, Murphy, Apps, Taylor, Sargent, Williams, Manery, Goldup, Stemkowski, Wilson, Monahan, Kozak, Venasky, Huychinson and Rob Palmer. The signatures present well, and the stick exhibits nice game-use, with wear to the taped section of blade along with a few marks on the lower shaft.
