Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
A stellar defenceman for the Canadiens throughout his 11 seasons in Montreal, Jacques Laperriere managed an impressive 6 Cup wins during that period. This stick was used by Laperriere during the early-1970s. A Victoriaville Pro model, “J. Laperriere” appears faded on the shaft along with “2”. Currently void of its striping stickers, there are matching Victoriaville stamps on both sides of the upper shaft. The stick retains its original but loose tape on the blade, and white and black ribbed job on the shaft/knob. Exhibiting nice use, the stick shows a number of dark marks on the taped section of blade along with a few more marks on the lower shaft. There are also some light cracks around the underside of the heel section.
