Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
A nice mix of vintage Toronto Maple Leafs items are here for your consideration, ready to augment any collection of Leafs material. We have a 1931-32 Leafs GM puzzle with the original box. The 8” x 10” puzzle (when assembled) has been framed to dimensions of 12” x 15”, with surface wear present, especially along edges. The box remains in excellent condition, perfect for display. Next we have a high grade example of Dave Keon’s ’67-68 York Peanut Butter glass, a complete set of Leafs “Hockey Talks” 33’s in their original sleeves along with four loose extras, a ’62-63 Leafs tray and four mini-sticks, including two picture sticks and an example marked “1937 Toronto Maple Leafs”.
The Keon glass exhibits only light toning to the Keon portrait, while the Hockey Talks records all appear to be in very good condition. The tray is a beautiful example, with only a bit of surface wear along with a few minor scratches, while all four mini-sticks show wear, with one of the photos detached but present. Lastly, as an extra bonus, there’s a second puzzle box in low to mid-grade condition, acceptable for display.
