Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
A prerequisite for any world class hockey collection, in this lot we have a stick used by Gordie Howe while with the Houston Aeros in the mid-1970s. A Sher-Wood PMP model, “Howe” and “9” are stamped on the shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape job on the blade and upper shaft/knob. The striping sticker is also still present on the pattern made stick. Excellent game-use is apparent, with numerous puck marks and abrasions present on the lower shaft along with wear to the blade which includes some cracking and material loss at the heel. The tip of the blade is also currently void of a small chunk. Originally from the personal collection of John Miszuk.
