A mix of colored and orange team logos are featured in this intriguing batch of Converse game pucks which spans a couple of seasons. An updated Converse reverse logo, still in rubber and still with the famous patent number included, dates to the 1967-68 season, with five “entries” to tell you about. Best condition-wise is a near mint Phoenix Roadrunners puck, while cleaning could improve San Diego Gulls, (blue marks in the logo), and San Francisco Seals examples, the latter with a welt in its side and a few edge nicks/slices. Seattle Totems and Vancouver Canucks, (small piece missing in front logo), display rather well but each have a hole in the back. The patent number was removed for the ’68-69 campaign, with good-looking Denver Spurs, San Diego Gulls and Salt Lake Golden Eagles pucks present from that year, along with, curiously, both an all-orange logo Portland Buckaroos disc and one with a color logo. Completing is a third Buckaroos puck, with unknown back logo, covered with facsimile autographs and where a screw hole also appears. Still more handsome old rubber!
