Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016

The New Jersey Devils celebrated their third Stanley Cup championship in fine style with this spectacular 14-karat gold and diamond ring. All-universe goalie Martin Brodeur recorded three shutouts in the final, including a 3-0 Devils win against the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in Game 7 on June 9, 2003 as New Jersey hoisted the Cup on home ice. This amazing bauble, which comes in its original presentation box, was given to pro scout Andre Boudrias, who won his third ring with the Devils after claiming a pair with Montreal. A host of real diamonds surrounds and fills the white portion of the Devils’ “NJ” team crest on the tableau, which includes red rubies and black stones within the raised gold outline of the logo. “Stanley Cup” and “Champions” are spelled out in raised gold on the upper and lower bezels. More real diamonds are set in the left and right bezels and one of the two Stanley Cups on the left shank, which displays the team name across the top, and “’03” and “’00” on either side. “Boudrias” is spelled out across the top of the right shank with “Pro-Scout” at the bottom, and the 2003 Stanley Cup Final logo with “12-1” in the middle along with “1995 10-1” and “2000 10-2” to represent New Jersey’s incredible home record of 32 wins and four losses during its three Stanley Cup runs. "Intergold 14K" and "June 9 2003" are stamped inside the size 12 band. Comes with Andre Boudrias’ signed LOA and an additional LOA from Classic Auctions.
Proud wear shows in a couple of nicks to the left of “Boudrias” on the right shank and light surface scratches on the back of the band. “New Jersey Devils 2003 Stanley Cup Champions” reads the etching on the glass set in the cover of the lidded presentation box. “Andre Boudrias” is engraved on a plaque inside the box, which has a black felt liner.
