Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016

A four-time Stanley Cup champion known for his inspirational play, Bert Olmstead’s Leafs' Bauer skates are from the end of his Hall of Fame career. They show plenty of game use with the backs of the tendon guards stripped of their original brown finish by the applying and removal of tape. The toes of the boots are covered with heavy black shellac. Bert’s number “16” can be spotted on the inside of each skate. A second pair shows the outline of Bert's number "15" which can be spotted at each of the outer heel areas and are from his Montreal Canadiens playing days. They show plenty of game use with the backs of the tendon guards stripped of their original brown finish by the applying and removal of tape. The original laces are still present and the toes of the boots are covered with heavy black shellac. The somewhat rusted blades could use a little cleanup job. Bert once scored eight points in a game and his leadership qualities were invaluable to the teams he played for. Cool additions to your game used equipment collection.
