Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
With over thirty years as an on-ice official which includes working 1727 regular season games, Matt Pavelich was the first linesman ever inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. This lot contains a jersey worn by Pavelich while officiating in the 1970s. With Gerry Cosby tagging in the collar, the sweater features an attractive NHL patch in traditional league colours that’s been placed over the left breast, while a dual-colour tackle twill number “7” has been inserted into a circular patch that’s affixed on verso. With some pilling to the interior present, the sweater remains in excellent condition and will be supported by an LOA.
