Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Some neat items representing the Detroit Red Wings are offered for your consideration, including a pair of beautiful replica jerseys for the Cougars and Falcons, a nicely painted street hockey mask, along with blocker/glove combos for Terry Sawchuk (2) and Roger Crozier, and a pair of D&R goal pads. Our consignor had a number of goalie displays, with equipment for each goalie that while not signature models, were produced around the same time frame as the featured goalie played. With that said, the first “Sawchuk” combo features a vintage CCM trapper with felt cover, along with a glove from D&R. The second set is by Cooper/D&R, while the Crozier pair are Cooper models.
The jerseys were both produced by CCM, and they remain in excellent condition with tagging present. The street mask has been painted to copy a familiar style worn by Mike Vernon, while the included goal pads were produced by D&R, and they remain in excellent condition with beautiful sewn on leather “D&R” red logos on each side. We should also add that the “Sawchuk” blocker in the second offered set has had leather added to the outside along with a cloth “Olympic” patch to appear close in style to the actual style blocker Sawchuk wore.
