Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
With three Stanley Cups in just six years, the current Chicago Black Hawks are a force to be reckoned with. In this lot we have an interesting hoard of items that all pertain to the Windy City, including 10 street hockey masks painted to resemble familiar models worn by Belfour, Crawford, Huet and Thibault, 3 replica jerseys for Francis, Rollins and Doug Bentley as well as a pair of goal pads. Our consignor had a number of goalie displays, with equipment for each goalie that while not signature models, were produced around the same time frame as the featured goalie played. With that said, we also have blocker/glove combos for Hall, Esposito and Murray Bannerman.
The street masks all remain in very good condition with strapping, padding and back headpieces present, while the 3 replica jerseys produced by CCM all remain in excellent condition. The “Bannerman” blocker and glove were produced by Brown and Cooper respectively, while the “Esposito” pair with affixed “35” decals were produced by Cooper. The set for Glenn Hall features a vintage CCM trapper with a blocker that includes added leather with a cloth “Olympic” patch, made to resemble an example from earlier in Hall’s career. The goal pads were made by D&R, and they remain in very good condition. Also included is a face mask similar in style to the model Esposito wore.
