Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
A regular with the Soviet National Team throughout the early-1970’s to early-1980s, Sergei Kapustin also spent 16 seasons playing in the Soviet League with a few different clubs. This Soviet National Team jersey was worn by Kapustin in the early-1980s. Mostly mesh with knit striping bands, Koho size tagging appears in the collar with “Made in Finland”. The team logo and numbers are a vinyl-like material and they’ve been sewn-on, and the Kapustin nameplate is sewn-on over the individually sewn-on "Kaputsin" vinyl-like material lettering. Game-wear includes just a few marks present, with board burns on the right sleeve, along with a small slit on the left sleeve’s striping band. There is also a small spot of blue paint transfer on the left sleeve.
