Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
The exact type of jersey’s worn by the Soviet National Team at competitions such as the 1990 and ’91 World Championships, in this lot we have examples issued to/worn by Homutov and Volkov. Finnish Tackla size tagging is affixed to the collar of the Volkov jersey, with an additional Tackla logo over the right breast of both. All identifiers on the garments are sublimated including the name-on-nameplate and CCCP team logos, with matching “Allianz” advertising patches on each upper sleeve. With no noticeable wear for the Homutov jersey, the Volkov example shows nice use, with 5 large stick marks on the lower front. There are also marks on the sleeves, along with some red paint transfer on the lower white band of the left sleeve.
