Postponed in 1979 and ’80, the 1981 Canada Cup was led in scoring by Wayne Gretzky, with games taking place in Winnipeg, Edmonton, Montreal and Ottawa. This team USA jersey was worn by Alan Hangsleben only in the training camp. With crumpled Cooper tagging in collar, the jersey features “USA” in dual-colour tackle twill letters. In patriotic red, white and blue, a pair of white stars grace the shoulders, with a single example placed on each side. Game-use includes a few dark marks present, with board burns on the right sleeve. There are also three small team repairs present, with 2 on the right sleeve, 1 on the left.
