This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
In this lot we have attractive lithographs of Jacques Plante and Ken Dryden by noted artist Michel Lapensee. Born in Quebec, Lapensee has painted for over 50 years which includes notable portraits of past Montreal Canadiens legends. His works hang in many private and corporate collections including those of Bell Canada, Shell Canada, Bombardier, Royal Bank, the Montreal Canadiens and the NHL. Each colourful 22 ½” x 26 ¾” lithograph features the subject skillfully rendered, with a collage-style grouping of famous images from their respective careers. Each display has been numbered to illustrate that their editions are limited, with the Plante lithograph numbered 41/100, while the Dryden matches his jersey number with 29/100. Housed in attractive dark frames to total dimensions of 28 ¾” x 26 ¾, the artist Lapensee has added pencil signatures to each piece in the bottom right corner.
