Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Spending additional time in both the AHL and QHL after his first two NHL seasons with New York, Camille Henry would become a regular with the Blueshirts in 1957-58 and would finish second to Andy Bathgate in team scoring. Camille’s sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with his high level of playing ability all resulted in the star being awarded the Lady Byng Trophy. This classic vintage plaque was presented to Henry for his status as the 1957-58 Lady Byng Trophy-winner. At approx 10” x 12”, the heavy wooden and metal production features a raised NHL shield emblem above, with mounted metal plates beneath, with “Lady Byng Memorial Trophy” engraved on the middle plate, and “Camille Henry – New York Rangers Hockey Club 1957-58” on the bottom plate. A chain has been attached to the reverse to facilitate hanging, with just some light overall wear to the plaque itself.
