Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

The 1987 Canada Cup was the only time the two greatest modern players ever featured on a line, and they didn’t disappoint, as Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux combined for 29% of Team Canada’s goals. This trophy plaque from the tournament is the exact same as the examples the players and executives would have received. Attractive silver metal sectioned Canadian maple leaf, it’s been mounted to a finished wooden base with centralized plaque stating “Coupe Canada Cup”. With dimensions of 10” x 7 ½” x 3”, this dignified keepsake is in excellent condition with just a bit of wear to the wooden base worth mentioning.
