Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Jacques Villeneuve left the Lucky Strike BAR Honda team at the end of the 2003 season, after sitting out most of the 2004 season he received a call to drive the final three rounds of the championship for the Mild Seven Renault F1 team with future Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso as a teammate. Villeneuve struggled after being out of the car for almost a year and only managed a best finish of 10th place in both the Japanese and Brazilian GP’s.
This suit, made by Alpine Stars is likely the rarest of all Villeneuve race-worn suits as he drove only three events and very few suits were made for him. The suit matches a number of photos from the three events; it has all the team sponsors embroidered onto the suit as well as Jacques’ name embroidered on the belt. A rare suit from a former F1 and Indy 500 Champion.
The suit is from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
Please take note that the NOMEX head sock, the gloves and boots shown on the pictures are for display purposes only and are not included.
